Morning manifest about to meet a BNSF Z
Title:  Morning manifest about to meet a BNSF Z
Description:  A NB manifest led by BNSF 5630, 7474, 8398 with BNSF 8252 as the DPU speeds through the Duck Pond, though it was starting to slow down so it can take the Norman siding to let a Z train past. It came through about 17 minutes after SB Amtrak #821 left.

BNSF 5630
Title:  BNSF 5630
Description:  As one of the youth leaders, I was tasked with plenty of different items and extra runs to places. One of which was for supper that evening. The Vicar had ordered pizza from Caseys in Ashland that evening, and I was tasked with going to pick it up. Ashland is where two lines of the BNSF connect with one another; the Creston Subdivision, and the Omaha Subdivision. Since I was by myself leaving Kennefick, it was a perfect excuse to get in a tiny bit of train time before grabbing the pizzas and bringing them back to the church where we were staying at. Only one problem. There were no trains around, or anywhere close. So, I ended up grabbing the pizzas and heading back. And what would you know, as soon as I got back, a train was lined west through Ashland. At that point, the train bug had already bitten me, and with my task complete, I was back out the doors of the church and made a B-Line for Greenwood, NE which hosts a pair of large grain elevators on both sides of the tracks. When I arrived, the headlight of V-NTWMCR4-05 was already visible to my east. I got set up at the elevator on the north side of the tracks and waited out the train. Unfortunately for me, I was thinking the train was on the far track, and instead it was on the close track, resulting in this pretty wonky frame. While I could have stayed out and waited for more trains as it was apparent things were going to get busy very quickly, I knew I would be back in Greenwood after the conference and would have my shot at getting better photos later in the week. So, I headed back to the rest of the group, pretty happy with the days results. Exhausted, but with plenty of memories made today, we were all ready for the conference the following day.
