| Description: |
Signals burn brightly at the north end of San Jose Diridon station. The signal in the foreground govern the second track from the left before it converges with the main through-tracks at right. The signal bridge in the background controls the south end of Control Point Shark, where the Warm Springs Subdivision splits from the Peninsula Sub. The signal for track 1 is green for ACE #4, which will depart the station northbound on track 1. Tracks 2 and 3 are red, where a southbound Caltrain deadhead will cross from track 3 to track 2 before entering the station. |

New Repaint Waiting To Depart |
| Description: |
Sporting fresh paint, ACE 3307 prepares to depart San Jose Diridon for another run to Stockton. This new paint scheme was introduced on ACEs Siemens Charger locomotives, which entered service in mid-2020. ACE did not begin repainting the rest of their fleet until early-mid 2022. Just 10 months before this photo was taken, I had photographed 3307 in the old livery of bright purple, blue, and white. Compared to the new livery, the old paint was definitely more vibrant, while the new paint looks very classy and posh. It will be interestign to see how the remaining F40PHs will look in the new scheme. |

These engines were built in 1998, supplementing a fleet of 20 EMD-built units. Engines of this type and similar variants also operate on Altamont Corridor Express, Coaster, and many other commuter rail operators. |

| Description: |
Two trains glide into San Jose Diridon simultaneously. The train on the left is a deadhead move of Amtrak California equipment. This set of cars was parked on track 8, and is being moved to track 1 prior to boarding for a northbound run. The train pulled forward through the south end throat tracks, and moves into track 1 led by cab car 8307. The train on the right is a northbound Caltrain "100" local. This train originated at Tamien (the next station south of here), and will make a brief stop on track 3 before continuing north. |
