Description:  On November 9th, 2014, Amtraks second annual Autumn Express excursion makes its move up CSXs Philadelphia Subdivision past Schuykill Valley Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Because CSX needed its High Line for last minute trackwork, Amtrak had to use the Philadelphia Sub to connect to Norfolk and Southerns Harrisburg Line. Veterans Painted P42 # 42 and Phase 1 P42 # 156 were on the point of a consist of 13 Amfleet 1 Coaches, two Amfleet I Cafes, and the Meteroliner Conference Car.

Description:  On November 9th, 2014, the two lead units of Amtraks Second Annual Autumn Express Excursion, Veterans Painted P42 # 42 and Phase I Painted P42 unit # 156, lead the 16 car consist up CSXs Philadelphia Subdivision past Schuykill Valley Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I took this photograph from a pedestrian overpass. Its very rare for an Amtrak train to use CSXs Philadelphia Subdivision. In the background, we can see Amtraks 30th Street Station, the Schuykill River, and Center City.

Description:  On November 9th, 2014, Amtraks former Metroliner Conference Car brings up the rear of its second annual Autumn Express excursion as it runs on CSXs Philadelphia Subdivision in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I took this photograph from the pedestrian overpass in Schuykill Park. Because CSX had to perform last minute trackwork on its High Line, the company required Amtrak to run its excursion on the Philadelphia Sub, connecting to Norfolk and Southerns former Reading Harrisburg Line to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Its very rare for an Amtrak train to use CSXs Philadelphias Subdivision. In the background, you can see 30th Street Station, the Schuykill River, and Center City.
