Already wearing the Union Pacific Armour yellow and Harbor Mist gray paint scheme is Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1595. EMD built this GP15-1 in July of 1977 as MP 1595. After the UP absorbed the MP, the loco was renumbered UPY 595. It was photographed working as late as 2022 but its age was definitiely showing. This is an L.R. Stiles color slide that is now in my collection. |

| Description: |
Caught still wearing the Missouri "Jenks" blue paint with the "Screaming Eagle" logo is Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1618. EMD built the loco in September of 1979 as Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1618. After the merger with Union Pacific, the loco was relettered UP #1618 and later completely renumbered as UPY 618. It is still on the working roster as of March, 2025. This is an L.R. Stiles color slide that is now in my collection. |

Rail fan L.R. Stiles caught MP GP15-1 #1687 heading up a train at the Lesperance Street Yard, St Louis, MO. The loco started out in February of 1982 as EMD-built Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1687. When the MP joined with the Union Pacific, it became Union Pacific GP15-1 #1687 and later UPY 687. It was on the active roster as late as June of 2022. This is an L.R. Stiles color slide that is now in my collection. |

Next to the mighty, mighty Mississippi is Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1646 still in its MP "Jenks" blue paint scheme. This loco was built by EMD in August of 1981 as Missouri Pacific GP15-1 #1646. Upon the merger with the Union Pacific, it was renumbered UPY #646 and was still working as of January, 2023. This is a rail fan "Jones" color slide that is now in my collection. No exact location was given for the slide. |
