Album Info:This series of photos chronicle the afternoon eastbound train dropping down into Antonito from a vantage point a few hundred feet west of MP 286. The train has only a little over 6 miles to travel b4 it pulls into the station at MP 280.7. /DL

Description:  The westbound train is over 3 track miles away but only about 1.6 miles away as the crow flies. At this point the track has a shot loop out of Naw Mexico into Colorado then right back into N.M. Note the rail in the foreground at the bottom of the view.2008 05 26 1540 CnTS MP286

Description:  The train is at about MR 289 and the track car is near MP 286.5 Each train had a track car running about 2 miles ahead as well as a 2nd track car 2 miles or so behind.
