					| Title: | 11V Cuts through the Humidity |
					| Description: | NS 11V is the first image of the weekend, rolling down the west slope of the Alleghenies with an ex-Conrail C40-8W in charge. I used to hate these things and now they're pretty cool. This was an oppressive, hot and humid day, especially for this elevation. |

					| Title: | What I'll Do for SD40-2's in Run-8... |
					| Description: | NS 925, a loaded Herzog Inc. ballast train, was reported to have SD40-2 help out of Altoona. Where better to get the full experience of westbound 40-2's in Run-8 than MG Tower on the east slope? We made for MG and made the image of the head end here as the clouds rolled in, 1:40 p.m. August 4. |

					| Title: | Crossing Over |
					| Description: | Right behind the 925 was the 501, coal empties for points west. The trains both crossed over, 3 to 2 at MG, to get around work in the tunnels on Track 3. A clear signal is lined up for an eastbound on 1. |

					| Title: | Blasting Upgrade |
					| Description: | NS 8449, ex-Conrail 6281, sandblasts up the west slope with the 20V. In the distance, the Sperry Car works west on Track 2. Nice to see some blue leading in 2010! |

					| Title: | A Real Treat |
					| Description: | NS 955 was a bonus surprise for the weekend, despite the misty fog that saw it over the Allegheny Summit on August 6, 2010. 4 F's and 4 executive cars roll through MO Interlocking at 7:43 a.m. |

					| Title: | Back at the Ledge |
					| Description: | After a 16-year hiatus, we ventured back to the famous 'Ledge' just west of Horseshoe Curve via a hike up the embankment from Glen White Run. Shortly after, we were treated to a show: heavy NS 65J came west on Track 3 with 4 conventional EMD's, and was run around right in front of us by the faster 21G on Track 2, at 1:42 p.m. WOW. |

					| Title: | Mountain Railroading |
					| Description: | Normally I don't put images like this on the web, but the sheer power of 2 SD40-E's, a GP38-2, and a high-hood SD40-2 all solidly locked in Run-8, while being blasted past by Dash-9's, was too awesome not to present here. Yup, this is mountain railroading, and I'll be back here again. |

					| Title: | 26T's Help Slides Downgrade |
					| Description: | NS 26T, a massive eastbound domestic stack train, is restrained on the east slope grade by SD40-E help. The train rolls east on Track 3, 3:26 p.m., August 6, 2010. |

					| Title: | A Nice EMD, and the Station Inn |
					| Description: | Our home for the weekend, the Station Inn, sits in the background and witnesses the passage of NS 2617, a nice SD70M leading 24Z east. The conductor waves from the cab; the train is minutes from the Summit of the Alleghenies. |
