Looking east on Dayton Street at the intersection/crossing
Title:  Looking east on Dayton Street at the intersection/crossing
Description:  Protection at this crossing is a rather odd mix of three RACo cantilevers and one WRRS mast signal.

End of the End of the Line
Title:  End of the End of the Line
Description:  The WSOR served a co-op just south of here until a couple years prior to this photo, when it ceased receiving rail service. The rails were removed from the crossing of State Highway 28 a few blocks sorth. South of there, they continue to serve a cannery (Seneca Foods) and Mayville White Lime on the line from Iron Ridge.

Milwaukee Crossing of the Rock River
Title:  Milwaukee Crossing of the Rock River
Description:  The former Milwaukee Road bridge across the Rock River at Mayville. The line ran to Fond du Lac from Iron Ridge off the original La Crosse and Milwaukee alignment that ran thru Horicon to Portage on it's way to the Mississippi. The line became part of the Wisconsin and Southern when the Milwaukee sold it off and was abandoned north of Mayville by the WSOR. Though it would not be difficult to reinstate the track in town to this bridge and beyond, it is currently truncated at the Seneca (last that I knew of, canning plants seem to change hands often)) canning plant.

MILW Mayville, WI Depot
Title:  MILW Mayville, WI Depot
Description:  The southwest and southeast (originally northeast and northwest) walls of the former MILW Mayville, WI depot now located at Kekoskee, WI, as seen on 31 May '15. It has been moved about 2 miles northwest of its original site in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of N. Walnut St. and Dayton St., originally Fremont and Clark Sts., respectively, in Mayville by the Kekoskee/Williamstown Historical Society after they acquired it in 2007. It is being rehabilitated to serve as their museum. The depot has been significantly modified, it has been shortened from its original length, the large overhangs at the eaves and gables have been cut back, all of the eave brackets are missing, the gable brackets on the northeast end have been damaged, the gable brackets from the southwest end are missing, and the walls of the bay window no longer reach all the way to the roof. I don't know if these modifications were caused by the current or previous owners, but the current owners have built a small addition on the current northern end of the southeast wall.
