This is a nice older/original roster shot of Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 Mikado #473 as it sat in one of its namesake cities, Milwaukee. Baldwin, 8/1923, nee-Chicago, Milwaukee & St Paul 2-8-2 #8373 (serial #56990, class L-2b) > renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW #473. It served for nearly 31 years before being scrapped in December of 1954. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb and tractive force of 54,723 lb. This is an Edwin Wilson photo and now part of my collection. |
