PRR Juniata E&M Shop Yard, 1966
Title:  PRR Juniata E&M Shop Yard, 1966
Description:  E&M Yard. Here is an original photo that I took at the Juniata E&M Shop Yard in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in April of 1966. Shown here is the trusty turntable on the left. Beyond it are dozens of locomotives in various states of repair: from work almost finished to being cannibalized. Many makes and models are represented. Visible in the foreground is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2329, an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in January of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. Further back is PRR engine #7259, an EFS-17M built by GM-EMD in November of 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. Brush Mountain dominates the distance.
