Description: |
Amtrak. Here is an original photo that I took in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on 30 August 1976. Shown here is Amtrak engine #906, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata by the Pennsylvania Railroad as number "4903" during May of 1940, rated at 4,620 horsepower, owned by Penn Central as number "4903," renumbered PC "906," then AMTK number "906," and presently on exhibit at the Museum of the American Railroad in Dallas, Texas. In this context, it's pulling a westbound passenger train into the Harrisburg Passenger Station. |
