With the exception of the small 52" drivers, this beefy 0-8-0 built by Alco-Schenectady in June of1930 looks almost like a road locomotive at first glance., No final disposition iswest currently known - presumedly scrapped sometime in the late 1950's. Specs - serial #68403 ,class C-16. 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, wngine wt of 240,000 lb and tractive effort of 57,200 lb. This is an R.D. Patton photo. |
