Title:  Yard and road power
Description:  D&H 5017 works a cut of cars as todays prize, the power for RPPY, sits next to the tower. I got lucky today-RPPY went south shortly after this was taken, and I was able to chase to Scranton. Another piece of vanished railroading is in this photo: the D&H box car next to 5017.

Description:  It wasnt so wonderful to us, just a long period of cold and snow that had to be endured, except that it gave us some good photo ops. One of these was off the NY 7 overpass at the south end of Conklin, where RPPY is rolling for a place where the winters arent so bad.

Description:  RPPY has just left East Binghamton, and is passing BLS Shaws. By this time, trains have usually cleared the south limit of the yard. There is still a slow slog to the end of the double track south of Conklin, as there is a 10 MPH speed restriction in place. Its a drag for the crews, but a great opportunity for photographers.
