Description:  Built in 1951 by AC&F in Lot #3442 as a 60 RPO-baggage, 1 of 6 such cars (#37-#42) built in that Lot for the Mid-Century EMPIRE BUILDER; the Lot was ordered in October 1949, cars were delivered between October 1950 and March 1951. The #41 was transferred to CB&Q in 1953 as part of mileage adjustment and the #37 was scrapped in 1968. The remaining 5 cars were intended to be renumbered as #600-#603 and #607, the #42 as #603; but only #38-#39 were actually renumbered to #600-#601. Unlike the other 4 remaining cars which were transferred to MofW, the #42 was stored by BN in St. Paul until donated to CSRM in November 1979. EXIF: 10:41 AM, f/2.7 @ 1/8

Description:  Between 1945 and 1950, GN's St. Cloud Shops constructed a total of 15 baggage-express-messengers in 4 groups, the 2nd of which was ordered in March 1946, delivered between December 1947 and January 1948, and consisted of cars #266-#269. #269 was intended to be renumbered to BN #778, but this was not applied, to BN MofW #976063, later sold to the Spirit of Oregon Dinner Train (which operated over the POTB) as kitchen-power car HILLSBORO, then acquired!by Mount Hood as MH #RS03, later renumbered #902.
