Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad boxcar #112311, an X-56 with cushioned underframe that has just been produced at the Samuel Rea Shop (not pictured at the left). Along with a batch of other X-56's, it sits in the Westbound Classification Yard awaiting movement to begin revenue service. Photo taken near the Yard Master's Office, at the very eastern end of South Juniata Street. |
