This Milwaukee Road has two special thiings. One, it is a welded rib sided boxcar built by the Milwaukke Shops between 1927-1937, It also carries the label "DF" which stands for "damgae free" shipping. It was equipped with a restraint harness to hold loads in place during transit, thus cutting down on potential damage. Richard "Dick" Berry took the photo. This image comes from his original negative now in my collection. |
