Dick Berry caught this PRR covered hopper sitting in the massive Robert Young classification yard in Elkhart, IN, yard. Technically, this car was a Penn Central car by the time the photo was taken but it still holds its original markings and logo. This paint scheme was labeled "Shadow Keystone. Phase 18" and was applied to freight cars bwetween mid-1954-late 1957. The image was made from one of Dick Barry's original negatives now in my colleciton. |
