Rail fan Dick Berry found this former Pennsylvania RR car with its original markings in the massive Robert Young classification yard in Elkhart, IN. Technically, it would be a Penn Central car at this point but it still has its original markings, albeit faded. This paint scheme had the lerge Roman serif styule lettering (applied in 1954-57) but with a plain keyston logo (applied1961-68) which blended two different styles The image was made from one of Dick Barry's original negatives now in my colleciton. |
