For head end of this train see: http://railfan44.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1567502 John Deasy emailed me: The coach on the rear of LIRR train 18 The Cannonball at Westhampton is one of the sixty seat chair cars LIRR acquired from Kansas City Southern in 1968 to replace old coaches such as the "pong" cars. The various spotting features, particularly the outside swing-hanger trucks, indicate this was one of the cars built by ACF in 1956 for KCS.
