SRC Combine Car #60 - Strasburg RR
Title:  SRC Combine Car #60 - Strasburg RR
Description:  Strasburg Coach Combine Car #60, originally owned by the Boston & Maine Railroad, was built in March 1903. As a combine car, it features seating in two-thirds of the car and an open area in the remaining third, which was initially used for freight, mail, and baggage. The car arrived at Strasburg Rail Road in November 1960 and began passenger service in April 1961. It was named Donald E.L. Hallock in honor of the railroad's third president. Coach Car #60 was featured in the 1968 film Hello, Dolly! and its open area is now used for guests with wheelchairs or for parties. This is a color slide taken by rail fan Jim Lockart which is now in my rr collection.
