| Pinecroft. Here is an original photo that I took near Pinecroft, Pennsylvania, on 26 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2248, #2309, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #2248 is an EF-22 built in May of 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2309 is an EF-25 built in November of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling an 85-car mixed-cargo freight train (with N-8 cabin car #478176) to Enola and points East. Photo taken at the Riggle's Gap Bridge. |
