Birmingham. Here is an original photo that I took in Birmingham, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2262, #2223, and another unit whose road number is not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #2262 is an EF-25 built in May of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2223 is an EF-22 built in April of 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. They're pulling a 76-car eastbound merchandise train with cabin car #477270. Photo taken at the stone quarry crossing, just off of State Route 453. |
