| Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (L to R) is PRR engine #7255 and three more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #7255 is an EFS-17M built in November of 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They're pulling ~ or, rather, braking ~ a 117-car mixed-cargo freight train down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East. The cabin car is PRR #477484. |
