| The photo was taken from the Illinois Central Gulf main line, facing northwest. The large building was the coach shop built by the New Orleans-Great Northern, and was the last large NOGN building on the property. Today, the only evidence that there had been a major railroad shop complex here is the name of the shopping center which was built on the land: SHOPYARD SQUARE! (approximate date) |
