Sperry Rail Service #132, c. 1970         
SRS. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of Sperry Rail Service Detector Car #132, a "Doodlebug" built by the St. Louis Car Company as Seaboard Air Line number "2003" in April of 1925, acquired by SRS in 1943 and modified for rail detector service. Visible at the right is Reading Railroad engine #5205, a C424 built by the American Locomotive Company in November of 1963 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
