I went nuts when I saw these units in Selkirk. I had heard that in Early October, SLRG, the Saratoga and North Creek Railroad had purchased these 2 FINE units from the NYRHA in Syracuse. They are being delivered to Saratoga Springs and being put into service ASAP! I hope they dont change the paint. It will be very nice to see these 2 units back in revenue service again. I understand they both work. As a footnote, SLRG also purchased 2 former NYSW F-9s from Larrys truck and Electric as well as a former Burlington Northern F-9 that was also there. They are all being brought over to Saratoga for rebuilds. This will one day be some operation!!! |
