Built in 2004 by Railpower Technologies from the frame of an old Canadian Pacific SW1200 locomotive, this GK10B ‘Green Kid’ is a 1000hp battery-powered hybrid locomotive built as a demonstration prototype of the GK10B design. She was used as a remote control switcher at the Fraser Surrey Docks in Surrey, British Columbia until around 2018 range when she went into storage on the site. (May 1, 2016) |
