Interestingly, this beautiful looking Pennsylvania GP9 #99 was actually West Chester RR GP9 #6499 temporarily repainted in order to participate in PRR anniversary events hosted by the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society. Originally built by EMD in October of 1956 as Baltimore & Ohio GP9 #6499, it bounced over to the Ohio Central Rwy As their #99 before landing on the West Chester Rwy roster. This color slide was taken by rail fan Ray Lockemeyer and is now in my rr collection. |
