PRR 6124, EF-36, 1967 |
Description: |
Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took just West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, in mid-December of 1967. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6124 and three more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #6124 is an EF-36 built in November of 1966 and rated at 3,600 horsepower. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. |
