PRR 2288, EF-25, 1965 |
Description: |
Winter. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 3 January 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2288, #2270, and #7014. All were built by GM-EMD. #2288 and #2270 are EF-25's and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #2288 was built in June of 1964 while #2270 was built one month earlier. #7014 is an EFS-17M built in October of 1955 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They're about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge with a 40-car eastbound TrucTrain and N-8 cabin car #478121. |
