Description:
A yard worker with a wheelbarrow discusses an issue with the engineer of this Canadian National 2-8-2 Mikado #3537 while it sits in the Saskatoon yard. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in August of 1923, the loco served the CN well for nearly 38 years before being scrapped in August of 1961. Specs - serial #64487, class S-2-a, 63" drivers, 188.5 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 314,800 lb, tractive effort of 55,621 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo
