MNCR 2025, FL-9, 1985
Title:  MNCR 2025, FL-9, 1985
Description:  MNCR. Here is an original photo that I took in Larchmont, New York, on 19 July 1985. Shown here (L to R) are Metro-North Commuter Railroad engines #2025 and #2023. Both are FL-9 "electro-diesels" built by GM-EMD. #2025 was built as New Haven number "2000" in January of 1957, rated at 1,750 horsepower, and later renumbered MNCR "2025." #2023 was built as NH number "2057" in November of 1960, rated at 1,800 horsepower, and later renumbered "2023." They're pulling a six-car commuter train from Grand Central Terminal toward Stamford, Connecticut. Note that there's another train approaching on Track 4. The time is 6:26 P.M.

Beach balls
Title:  Beach balls
Description:  Yet another FL 9 powered train rolls north at Woodlawn. I nailed the crap out of that rush hour. Its kind of repetitive, but all that stuff is gone now.
