All were built by GM-EMD. #2219 and #2231 are EF-22's and rated at 2,250 horsepower each; #2219 was built in March of 1963 while #2231 was built in April of 1963. #2338 and #2324 are EF-25's and rated at 2,500 horsepower each; #2338 was built in February of 1965 while #2324 was built in January of 1965. They've just come down the eastern slope of the Allegheny Mountains with a 120-car merchandise freight train, and are now passing ALTO Tower on their way through Altoona non-stop to Enola. |
