| Description: |
Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 19 September 1964. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7238, #7189-B, and #7233. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7238 and #7233 were built in October of 1959, but #7189-B was built in November of 1957. They are pulling an 86-car mixed-cargo freight train to Enola and points East. The cabin car is PRR #477822. Photo taken just West of the Tyrone Station. |
