Description:  D-Prints. Here is a print by Don Wood that was taken in Marysville, Pennsylvania, in June of 1955. Caption On Reverse: "Pennsy RF16 A-B-B lashup at Marysville, Pa., enroute to Harrisburg from Altoona ~ Brunswick Green & Pinstripes! June, 1955." Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2005 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #2005 is a BF-16 built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in July of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. At the right is the Yard that was built when the Susquehanna River bridge was at Marysville. Brad Mann Collection.

Description:  12th Street. Here is an original photo that I took at the Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 24 September 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2005, #9705-B, and #9724. #2005 and #9724 were built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966; #2005 was built in July of 1951, while #9724 was built in March of 1951. #9705-B was built in May of 1950, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965. In this context, this A-B-A set is parked adjacent to the Station while its crew awaits orders to proceed up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
