WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from North Philadelphia to Harrisburg during August of 1965. Shown here (F to R) are PRR engines #4434 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #4434 is an E-44 built by General Electric during March of 1962. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train. Photo taken at a point between ZOO Tower and Paoli; partly visible on the left is the Overbrook Farms Steam Generating Plant. |
