Huntingdon. Here is the second of two successive duplicate 35mm color slides of photos by Bill Price that were taken near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1946. At the right is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6962, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1926 and retired in January of 1950. Pulling an eastbound troop train at the left is PRR engine #3747, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1920 and retired in November of 1957. |
