Title:  IC SD40-2 #6118 - Illinois Central
Description:  The unique nose "I-ball" logo stands out on the black shroud black scheme on this unit. EMD built this SD40-2 in February of 1976 originally as Burlington Northern #6727 but was sold to Illinois Central around 1990. IC renumbered it to 6118. It was still on the IC roster in 2009 but its current status is presently unknown. This is a photo from the Dennis E. Conniff collection and is now part of my collection.
