Description:  The local comes into the yard from Annapolis with Engineer Larry Plumb. When the conductor threw a switch he walked out of the front cab door, waved, and yelled "Hi Zach!", shut the door, and walked back over to operate his train which was rolling at about 5 mph.

Description:  In the days of SP the B39/B40-8 fleet sped intermodal trains around the SP system. UP uses these in local and low priority service when they aren't rusting away in storage. These diesels are now being retired by UP, hopefully these guys will find a second career rather than the scrapyard. Note the concrete structure next to the tracks, looks like a guard house.
