RDG #3630 sits in a storage line at the engine terminal with its sister units. It was delivered by EMD on 8/1964 (serial number 29138) and served as a freight/ocassioanl passenger unit for Reading. It then went to Conrail as #3630 where it was retired on 10/29/1981. It's next move was as a trade in to EMD in 7/1984 where it was sold to Pielet Bros for scrap. Date is approximate. |

EMD built this GP30 in June of 1962 as Reading GP30 #5519 but renumbered later to RDG 3619. When the Reading was absorbed by Conrail in 4/1/1976, it became CR 2187. It was sold off to Ohio Central as OHCR 2187. CSX picked up the remains of the loco later and was going to convert it to road slug CSX 2375 but it was eventually scrapped sometime after 2011. No date or photographer was listed for the photo which is now part of my collection. |
