Album Info:The Reading was Philadelphia's second railroad but by the 1960s was better run than the larger Pennsylvania-Penn Central. The Penn Central bankruptcy caused the Reading to declare bankruptcy and disappear into Conrail.

Description:  One of the odder outposts of the Reading in the greater Philadelphia area was its minor engine terminal in Eddystone. Here an EMD SW1001 lays over on a weekend in September 1975. This line was the original right of way of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad and was not physically connected with the rest of the Reading system.
