Both were built by GM-EMD. #9691 is an EF-15A built as an EH-15 in April of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, later regeared and reclassified as an EF-15A, and retired in February of 1967. #7206 is an EFS-17M built in November of 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They've just come down the Allegheny Mountains with a 60-car mixed-cargo freight train and are passing the derailment site with caution. The cabin car is #477382. Visible in the center is PRR steam-powered crane #490965. Visible at the left is one of the two derailed locomotives, PRR engine #8890 ~ an AS-10 built by the American Locomotive Company in November of 1950 and rated at 1,000 horsepower.
