PRR 9851, EFP-15, 1966
Title:  PRR 9851, EFP-15, 1966
Description:  Mid-Mountain. Here is an original telephoto view that I took just West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, in mid-June of 1966. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9851 and three more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #9851 is an EFP-15 built in June of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They're passing under four-track Signal Bridge #2397/8 with a merchandise freight train on its way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. Also visible in the far distance is Brush Mountain.
