PRR 6027, EF-25A, 1966
Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took just West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, in mid-June of 1966. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6027 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD. #6027 is an EF-25A built in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They're returning to East Altoona for another helper/pusher run up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and back.
