PRR 5874, EP-20, 1964
WIL-ALT-64. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 3 July 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #5874 and #5798, Both were built by GM-EMD. #5874 is an EP-20 built in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. #5798 is an EP-22 built in June of 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They're being coupled onto an 18-car passenger train that's bound for Altoona and points West. (Note the duplicate "PRR" insignia on the front door.)
