Description:  Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 19 September 1964. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7238, #7189-B, and #7233. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7238 and #7233 were built in October of 1959, but #7189-B was built in November of 1957. They are pulling an 86-car mixed-cargo freight train to Enola and points East. The cabin car is PRR #477822. Photo taken just West of the Tyrone Station.

Description:  Tyrone. Here is ao original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 19 September 1964. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2505, #7231-B, and #9691. #2505 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in August of 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #7231-B is an EFS-17M built by GM-EMD in October of 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9691 is an EF-15A built by GM-EMD as an EH-15 in April of 1949, rated at 1,500 horsepower, later regeared and reclassified as an EF-15A, and retired in February of 1967. They're pulling a 129-car mixed-cargo freight train to Enola and points East. The cabin car is PRR #477819. Photo taken just West of the Tyrone Station. Wave to the Fireman!

Description:  Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 15 May 1965. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6008 and #6030. Both are EF-25A's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #6008 was built in March of 1965 while #6030 was built one month later. They're pulling a 137-car mixed-cargo freight train through the Tyrone Station on its way to Enola and points East. Partially visible in the background is the Pedestrian Overpass.

All were built by GM-EMD. #5889 is an EP-22 built in April of 1950 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They're pulling a 43-car mail & express train (with "Railway Express" N-5 cabin car #5010) through the Tyrone Station on its way to Altoona and points West. Description:  Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on Memorial Day in 1965. Prominent here is Tyrone's World War I Memorial. Passing behind it is a 70-car mixed-cargo freight train heading up the Bald Eagle Branch. Pulling it (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7050, #9768-B, and #7176. All were built by GM-EMD. #7050 and #7176 are EFS-17M's rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7050 was built in October of 1956 but #7176 was built exactly one year later. #9768-B is an EF-15A built in January of 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower.
